Lesson Plan Contest

Dear English Instructor,


The Language Department invites you to participate in a Columbus Day Lesson Plan Contest applicable from 1st to 6th grade, to win a scholarship for the DTES 3 exam.

The Diagnostic Test for English Students 3 (DTES 3) is designed for learners with intermediate to advanced levels of English who can obtain official recognition for their EFL skills. DTES 3 is recognized by the SEP and measures language competence using the official Mexican framework, CENNI.

To win this scholarship, follow the steps below:

  1. Download the Lesson Plan form, from SAPI at the “Instructor´s file” section.
  2. Create a 50 minute Columbus Day Lesson Plan, using the form you downloaded.
  3. Your Lesson Plan should include the following characteristics:
    • Use uppercase and lowercase letters, Calibri font, size 10.
    • Name the Word document with your ID number followed by your full name.
    • Develop a practical, fun and attractive activity applicable from 1st to 6th grade.
    • Include supporting material.
    • Develop all the lesson plan elements.
    • Set the time for every activity.
  4. Send your Columbus Day Lesson Plan to inglesennl@hotmail.com. Deadline: September 25th, 18:00 hrs. Submissions after the deadline, will not participate in the contest.
  5. Check our website on September 29th to see who the winner of this contest is.


*The winner’s lesson plan will be published at our website on October 1st.
